HAPPY Wednesday, darlings! I’m so excited to share another wedding post today! We are officially 108 days away from our wedding…AHHH!!! With the big day approaching so quickly, I thought I would quickly update y’all on all of the progress that has been made…of course, I’ll keep a few secrets so you can be surprised on the wedding day!!
Can I just say how much I’ve been loving chatting about weddings with you guys on Instagram? Anytime I have a question or just want to vent you gals never fail to send me advice or make me laugh with a story of your own. I have learned SO much from all of you – especially regarding honeymoon planning (I will write a post soon all about this!!)
So many of you have DM’d me saying you are either attending a wedding in Newport or getting married in Newport! I wanted to put together a post detailing where you should stay, where you should eat and fun things you can do while in the fabulous city of Newport!!
WHERE TO STAY
I am staying at The Newport Lofts for our wedding weekend. The homes are stunning and right in town! They have accommodations ranging from one to eleven bedrooms. We are staying in a three bedroom property and my sister (maid of honor) and two bridesmaids are staying there with me. The large space will be absolutely incredible for getting ready + pictures! I especially love the roof deck looking over the water…will be perfect for a morning coffee 🙂
So many of you have DM’d me saying you are either attending a wedding in Newport or getting married in Newport! I 100% recommend these gorgeous and spacious lofts! They come with everything – from can openers and pots and pans to beach chairs! You name it, they have it. The hospitality is unparalleled. See photos of our fabulous weekend bungalow below:

WHERE TO EAT
Castle Hill Inn: My number one recommendation for anyone visiting Newport is a trip to Castle Hill Inn. Sitting on the lawn of this stunning property looking over Narragansett Bay might be my favorite way to spend a day. It also helps that everything on their menu is just delicious!!
Clarke Cooke House: A Newport institution, the Clarke Cooke house is always a go-to for any trip to Newport. Whether you are grabbing oysters in the restaurant, sipping a cocktail while the sun sets on the second-floor bar, or bringing it back old school in the Sky Bar, we love it here with all our hearts.
Black Pearl: Known for its amazing clam chowder, The Black Pearl has been a Newport staple for years. In the summer, they have a fabulous outdoor seating area right on the wharf, so you can take it all in.
41 North: We love to grab a cocktail and something to nibble on here while we watch the boats (ok, massive yachts) roll in. Great for people watching too!
Mooring: It has something for everyone and the loveliest of views! Chris and I LOVE this place!
Brick Alley Pub: With its family-friendly vibe, dynamite brunch and award-winning lobster roll – it’s easy to see why there is never a Newport recommendation list without Brick Alley Pub on it.
Flo’s Clam Shack: If you are anything like me, a trip to the beach also means a trip to a clam shack, and when I’m in Newport, that means a trip to Flo’s.
Cru Cafe: A casual yet cozy place to grab delicious breakfast/lunch (and coffee!) PS: breakfast is served all day!
Dels: No trip to Rhode Island is complete without a Dels. Once we spot a Dels truck, there is no way we won’t stop. To look like a local, make sure it’s served with a scoop, out of a truck and enjoyed sans spoon or straw.
WHAT TO DO
Cliff Walk: A stroll along the gorgeous Cliff Walk just shouldn’t be missed. The summer “cottages” of the likes of the Roosevelt’s and Vanderbilt’s are truly a sight to be seen. Make sure to take a walk down Newport’s 40 Steps too!
Newport Mansions: Step off the Cliff Walk to experience the mansions first hand by touring some of these beauties. The Breakers, Rosecliff (where we’re getting married!!) and the Marble House are a few of my favorites.
International Tennis Hall of Fame: Even if you aren’t a tennis buff, this stunning venue is worthy of a stop. Even better if you can catch a match!
First Beach: This beach rests underneath the glamorous and scenic Cliff walk and is a very popular spot because of its location.
Biking along Ocean Drive: The coastal route cruises past mega estates and over-the-top mansions where the ocean views are as insane as the houses.
I wanted to recap the INCREDIBLE vendors we are working with to create our “best day ever” so if you’re planning a wedding, you can reach out to them!!!
