The DC Darlings Guide: Nantucket

Nantucket, how are you so fabulous? Seriously, darlings, I LOVED our mini vacation on the island. I cannot wait to go back next year! Chris grew up in Boston and we go to the Cape every summer. However, I had never been to Nantucket until this trip! After seeing Riley’s IG stories (aka @cestriley) I immediately texted Chris and said we had to go…& I’m so happy we finally did! Our September vacay consisted of 2 full days, staying on the island for one night. Keep reading for fun things to do and where to stay!

Where to Stay

Don’t you just love boutique hotels? We do! There is something so “homie” and comforting about boutique hotels. While on the island, we stayed at 21 Broad, a boutique Lark Hotel centrally located on Broad Street in downtown Nantucket. It seriously was a four-minute walk from the ferry – how perfect! Honestly, the amazing people at 21 Broad made us feel at home and so comfortable. We loved our stay and 100% recommend this incredible property to anyone visiting Nantucket!

Guestrooms: 21 Broad offers 27 bright, modern Nantucket accommodations with plushy luxury linens, blackout shades, and a vitamin C shower (BRB installing one in my apartment!!!). The bed was SO comfortable, we both fell asleep in less than five minutes!

Amenities: The amenities at 21 Broad are SO amazing! While the guest room is incredible (I can’t say enough about the vitamin c shower), the amenities offered on the property are top-notch. Imagine waking up to a large breakfast spread…we’re talking overnight oats with coconut, homemade scones/pastries, chia pudding, and other delicious plates. There is also Nantucket Roasters Coffee and freshly squeezed juices, every AM! We had our breakfast outside on the outdoor terrace, while warming up by the fire pit! While we didn’t visit during “beach season,” the hotel also offers free beach bags, chairs, and towels!

Location: 21 Broad is conveniently located on Broad Street in Downtown Nantucket. It is literally in the middle of everything! We were a five-minute walk to every meal, shop, etc. in town! We rented bikes because we wanted to see the entire island; however,  you could 100% stay at 21 Broad and never need to call an uber!
