After years of dousing my hair with a deadly cocktail (bleach + heat), my locks desperately need all the help they can get! My incredibly talented hair stylist, Ashley Seal, who works at Stilisti Salon in Boston, recommended I try the Gold Lust line by Oribe. The line specializes in repairing and restoring locks that are in dire need of healing. For the past year, I have religiously utilized the shampoo and conditioner and my hair is SO MUCH BETTER. I still highlight my hair and curl it multiple times per week…yet, my hair is shinier, softer & grows like a weed (shoutout to my sugar bear hair vitamins).
The shampoo and conditioner are steep…running you $49 per bottle. However, the greatest stylist ever aka Ashley told me that these Oribe products “love water.” What does that mean you might ask? It means that you should only use a tiny amount of the product – a little of this product goes a long way! So yes it is $49 but it lasts you a few months/it is so worth it!
Goldwell Dual Senses Blonde Shampoo + Conditioner
Hey blondes, this blurb is directed at you…yes, you!! Do you ever find yourself leaving the salon & loving your color, only to find weeks later you have brassy hair?! Brassiness is the worst and this shampoo + conditioner duo works to combat dat brasssss! Use this once or twice per week and your blonde will remain bright and fabulous! I recommended this product for my sister et mom (both blonde) and they are simply obsessed!
The formula is moisturizing and smells absolutely delicious! Each bottle is $16 and lasts forever! If you are blonde this product is a must! Why spend the money to have your hair highlighted and dyed a gorgeous shade of blonde just to have it alter in the following weeks. Save your wallet and buy this product to traverse the brass!

If you are a baller on a budget and need restorative haircare that is incredible yet does not break the bank, L’Oreal Total Repair 5 is for you!! After I use the shampoo and conditioner duo, my hair feels like silk and smells delicious! The haircare claims to repair the five visible signs of damaged hair & leaves you with: 1) Rebuilt fibers 2) Strength 3) Vitality 4) Silkiness and 5) Shine. The products are absolutely wonderful and only cost you $4.99 per bottle!

Aveda Scalp Benefits Shampoo
This gentle shampoo nourishes and balances my hair and makes it feel & look incredibly healthy. The water in the DC area is rich in minerals which means you need a product that removes the excess buildup. Hard water makes your hair feel rough and tangly which is NOT what we want – we want healthy mermaid hair!! The Aveda Scalp Benefits line cleans down to the root, removes excess sebum and buildup and it creates the ideal foundation for healthy hair!!
Aveda Shampure Conditioner
The Aveda Shampure collection is incredible and it seriously smells like a spa! The conditioner I use fortifies my hair and makes is SO shiny because the formula is made with morikue protein! The spa like smell comes from a combination of 25 pure flower and plant essences. I always feel more relaxed and zen using this product!!
